The new event law for Vienna is on the horizon.

The law (presumably) does not specify any legal minimum qualifications for the role of Awareness responsible Person. As a structure that has been working on this topic for many years, we advocate for proper qualification and issue a recommendation.

The training consists of 16 hours, making it comparable in scope to qualifications for child and youth protection person or first aid training for workplace emergency responders.

We recommend qualifying at least two people per structure/organization, and at least four for structures with many events and a high number of participants. The pricing is tiered to allow non-profit and/or financially precarious organizations to participate.

If the event law is not passed as expected in the state parliament on March 27, 2025, the training dates will be adjusted accordingly.

The Awareness Responsible Person training is designed for individuals who will be responsible for implementing the awareness concept within their organization. They serve as contact persons in case of mistakes or violations and oversee the overall awareness framework.

The training provides fundamental knowledge and practical approaches to dealing with specific responsibilities and tasks arising from the new event law.

Participants will learn about awareness concepts, principles, attitudes, and values, as well as structural processes—from A for Access Point to B for Beneficiary-Centered Approach and Z for Zooming in on Interdisciplinary Work.

No specific prior knowledge is required for participation.
All participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
