Für diesen Workshops ist das Ziel gesetzt, Grundlagenwissen und Wissen über Awareness-Arbeit zu vermitteln. Im Workshop “Basics der Awareness-Arbeit” sollen alle Interessierten auf den gleichen Wissensstand gebracht werden.
Der Workshop bietet einen Einstieg in das Themenfeld und bietet Einblick in die Begriffe und theoretische Konzepte, um die es beim Thema Awareness geht. Im Zuge des Workshops werden gemeinsame Begrifflichkeiten ge- bzw. erklärt. Es werden unter anderem die Konzepte von Definitionsmacht, Parteilichkeit, Unterstützungsarbeit erklärt; was Begriffe wie ‘verursachende’ und ‘betroffene Person’ bedeuten oder was Trigger sind.
Wir schauen uns auch die praktischen Basics aus Awarenessarbeit, die in den letzten Jahren im deutschsprachigen Raum erarbeitet wurden, was sind Abläufe und Standards für das Organisieren von Teams, Awarenessteams bei Veranstaltungen und Standards in der Bildungsarbeiten
Es geht um eine kritische Diskussion über sexistisches Verhalten, Diskriminierung, Macht der Sprache, Einschränken der Freiheit von Personen sowie solidarisches Feiern.
Wir schaffen mit Awarenessarbeit einen Rahmen der diesen einschränkenden Verhaltensweisen organisiert entgegengewirkt werden kann und so gemeinsam ein solidarischer, achtsamer Raum geschaffen werden kann.
Anhand ausgewählter Texte bzw. Textausschnitte werden wir erst in Kleingruppen, abschließend dann alle gemeinsam, erarbeiten, was diese Begriffe für uns in der Praxis, auf Partys, im Vereins und Verbandsleben etc. bedeuten können.
Für den Workshop ist kein Vorwissen zum Thema nötig.
Der Workshop ist auf freier Spendenbasis zugänglich, der Workshop ist nicht gefördert. Wir empfehlen eine Spende von 0 bis 10 Euro, wenn du gerade kein oder wenig Geld hast. Von 10 bis 25 Euro, wenn du gerade knapp bei Kasse bist. Von 25 bis 50 Euro oder mehr, wenn du gerade gut über die Runden kommst. Mit einem durchschnittlichen Betrag von 25 Euro können wir die Bildungsarbeit für den Workshop abdecken, alles, was mehr an Spenden hineinkommt, wird dazu verwendet Workshops und Bildungsarbeit wo weniger Geld reinkommt auszugleichen. Komm bitte auf jedenfalls, auch wenn du kein Geld hast und versteh bitte den Spendenvorschlag nicht als finanzielle Hürde, alle sollen unabhängig ihrer jeweiligen Finanziellen Mittel am Workshop teilnehmen können.

AwA* ist ein Kollektiv aus Wien, das überall im deutschsprachigen Raum (und darüber hinaus) Awareness-Arbeit macht. Wir sind eine Gruppe, die im Kern aus Frauen, Trans, Queeren und Inter* Personen besteht und im weiteren Umfeld offen für alle ist. Wir machen Bildungsarbeit, stellen Teams für Veranstaltungen, Festivals, Konferenzen und für den öffentlichen Raum, entwickeln Konzepte und begleiten Gruppen und Strukturen im Aufbau eigener Awareness-Strukturen.

Achtsamen und guter Umgang miteinander sind nicht nur im Rahmen der Arbeit mit den jeweiligen Auftraggeber_innen wichtig, sondern auch ein Anspruch, den wir im Team umsetzen und leben.

The aim of this workshop is to provide basic knowledge and understanding of awareness work. In the workshop “Basics of Awareness Work” all interested people should be brought to the same level of knowledge.
The workshop offers an introduction to the subject area and provides insight into the terms and theoretical concepts that are at the core of awareness work. In the workshop, common terms will be introduced and explained. Among others, the concepts of power of definition, partiality, and support work will be explained; as what terms like ‘person causing harm’ and ‘affected person’ mean or what triggers are.
We will also look at the practical basics of awareness work that have been developed in the last few years in German-speaking countries, what are the procedures and standards for organizing teams, awareness teams at events, and standards in educational work.
It is a discussion about sexist behaviors, discrimination, the power of language, limiting people’s freedom, and celebrating in solidarity.
With awareness work, we create a framework that can counteract these restrictive and damaging behaviors in an organized way and thus create a mindful space of solidarity together.
On the basis of selected texts or text excerpts, we will first work in small groups and then all together to work out what these terms can mean for us in practice, at parties, in the work of associations and federations, etc.
No prior knowledge of the topic is necessary for the workshop.
The workshop is open on a free donation basis, the workshop is not funded. We recommend a donation of 0 to 10 Euro if you have little or no money. From 10 to 25 Euro, if you are short of money. From 25 to 50 Euros or more if you have enough money to cover your expenses easily. With an average amount of 25 Euro we can cover the educational work for the workshop, everything that comes in more will be used to balance workshops and educational work where less money comes in. Please come in any case, even if you have no money, and please do not understand the donation proposal as a financial barrier, everyone should be able to participate in the workshop regardless of their financial situation.
